"Let us build the City of God."

Excerpt from "City of God" by Dan Schutte, based on Isaiah 9

St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church in City Philadelphia is a blessed community. Our history is tied to the city, and our church is a beautiful place to worship God. Our congregation is diverse and engaged, and our hearts are full with the joy of the Gospel.

To maintain our 165-year-old building, to offer the music at our masses, to engage in outreach in our neighborhood, and to provide hospitality to our members and guests, we rely on the contributions of the faithful.

Did You Know?

When Mother Nature is not so kind to us and church attendance is low, the collection basket comes in light. Consider E-Giving so that when Mother Nature keeps you at home, your Washingtons still make it to church. To be honest (and very transparent, please see below) your money does good works and we very much need it. Here's where the money comes from, and where it goes. If you have any questions or would like to join the Parish Finance Council, contact the Parish Office.

Not only does every dollar you put in the basket help to keep our beautiful church in tip top shape, but a percentage of all income goes to help those in need in the Philadelphia area, across the country, and around the globe.

An easy and convenient way to be a part of the community and help ensure the long-term viability of the church is through our e-giving program, Parish Giving. This secure and convenient system allows the faithful to make contributions to the Church by linking directly to a bank deposit account or a credit card. Donations can be easily set up for one time processing or periodic recurring contributions at a frequency you decide. Providing donations through Parish Giving also allows the faithful to independently access a contribution summary report from the website as support for charitable contributions tax deductions.
